Just 15 minutes + questions, we focus on topics about using and developing nf-core
pipelines. These are recorded and made available at https://nf-co.re
, helping to build an archive of training material. Got an idea for a talk? Let us know on the #bytesize
Slack channel!
At the start of 2022, nf-core joined the Nextflow community to do a joint survey entitled “The State of the Workflow 2022: Nextflow and nf-core community survey” (see the announcement blog post). This follows on from the 2021 edition but with some additional questions, including some concerning nf-core community strength and engagement.
This week, Phil Ewels (@ewels) will give an overview over the key results of the survey. If that’s not enough excitement for you, Evan Floden (@evanfloden will wrap up with a live-draw to select the winners of the survey draw: one Apple Macbook Air M1 up for grabs alongiside ten sustainability-certified Seqera Labs merchandise packs.. 🤩 💚 💻 👕

The next part of it is around the prize for the Mac. As part of that we’re going to do that live and I’m going to share my screen here and hopefully be able to do this. Again this is the similar thing where everyone’s names be entered into this, and we will draw the winner. Hopefully you can share a part of my screen here to do that. Okay wasn’t too far off. So, this will take about 10 seconds or so to run through, and we will have the winner. Let’s start that off now. Let’s spin around. And the winner of the Mac M1 for the prize is Michael H from USA. Congratulations Michael we’ll reach out to you and send you through an email with the information and go from there. That’s it. I think thanks so much to Phil for bringing that presentation together.
As I say, if you want to go reach out and have a look at the blog. We are going to try and do these more regularly. This is the second year of this and a lot of this information becomes more useful the more as it’s worth. I’m not sure if for some reason my video is off but here I am. I’m a real person. Thanks everyone for joining. Say, read the blog, reach out to us if you’ve got any questions, always appreciate everyone’s work and yeah thanks so much.
(host) Thank you very much. Are there any questions for Phil or Evan from the audience? I don’t think so. Then I would like to thank both of you, and also the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative for funding, of course, and I’m going to stop the recording now, but be aware that you can always ask more about today’s topic in the bytesize channel on Slack. And yeah, contact us if you have any other questions.
